Here is a challenging and fun way to practice addition and subtraction facts within 20 in French. Each of these 24 balance the equation task cards features two equal addition and subtraction equations with one missing number. The missing number appears equally in each of the four positions. Also included are two printable recording sheets.
These cards can be used in different ways:
1) The game “Scoot”. Place the cards on desks, walls etc. Students start at one card and record their answer on the recording sheet. At your signal, they move on to the next card, working their way around the room.
2) As a center: I place the cards in a Math center. Students choose random cards to work on, recording their card letter and answer on the recording page provided.
