This is a series of emergent readers, in French, with the theme of penguins. There are three books in this set:
1) Les pingouins aiment les formes – This reader focuses on shapes and features a variety of penguins with their favourite shapes. Students need to complete the sentence: Le pingouin aime __________ with each shape. Shapes featured are: circle, heart, oval, pentagon, rectangle, diamond/rhombus, square, triangle, trapezoid, star, hexagon.
2) Les couleurs des pingouins – This reader features a penguin, all dressed up for winter! Students read the text to determine the colour of the penguin, its scarf and its hat. The final page allows the students to write in the colours and design their own penguin.
3) Où est le pingouin? – This book focuses on prepositions. Students are given a sheet of penguins to cut out. They then must read the text to determine where each penguin is placed.
