Each puzzle includes a French word and a matching picture. Students decode the word using their knowledge of French sounds and find the corresponding image. The unique puzzle pieces are self-checking, allowing students to independently confirm their answers by matching the puzzle lines.
This resource focuses on "les sons complexes" and is ideal for students once they are familiar with the sound. To support early readers, silent letters are shown in grey and complex sounds are underlined, making decoding easier and reinforcing French phonics patterns.
